Would I recommend it even if you graf the clips allowing you to plug 'n play? No. So is it possible to use other brand batteries to power your tools. Initially I planned to create a graf that allowed me to clip my ridgid battery in place but I've abandoned that idea due to the fact that the battery won't cut out when reaching it's low voltage setting, so long term use is not recommended. Using a crude method of clipping the battery to the string trimmer inputs and velcroing it in place I was able to power it using the ridgid battery.
This is important because the lipo's need to stop at a certain voltage level or you basically cut their life significantly every second the voltage is below that point. The low voltage cutoff does not work if the battery is in a non-ridgid tool.
